Jina is a designer, community builder, and advocate with a passion for design systems, minimalism, typography, and art. At Salesforce, she is lead designer on the Lightning Design System.

She organizes Clarity, the first Design Systems conference. She also started the Design Systems Coalition and its SF chapter, and she created and moderates the Design Systems Slack. She maintains the design and website for Sass. She organizes The Mixin (a Sass and front end meet up). She curates Sass NewsArt in My Coffee, and Hipsters Have to Pee.

She co-wrote Fancy Form Design & The Art & Science of CSS, and she was a tech editor for Sass for Web Designers and Sexy Web Design. She has written articles for publications including A List Apart, 24 Ways, The Pastry Box, Sitepoint, net Magazine, Treehouse, and the Salesforce UX blog, and she has spoken at many conferences including Adobe MAX, An Event Apart, Dreamforce, SxSW, Beyond Tellerand, Smashing Conference, UX Awards, etc.

Previously, she has worked at companies including Apple, GitHub, Engine Yard, Crush + Lovely, inferno, Oden, Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, and through agencies and consulting has worked on projects including W3C WAI, Mass.gov, Deloitte, FedEx, and International Paper.

She has been said to be one of the most cheerful goths.
